Let me start off by saying that I am NOT a lip gloss girlie. I usually return, chuck, or give away 99% of the ones I end up buying. I’m like the lip gloss Goldilocks: Too oily, too smelly, too sticky, too thin, too thick. Not to mention my lips are very sensitive, and prone to dermatitis.
Then I found this lip gloss.
Love at first application.
There is a light scent which can only be described as artificial strawberry. I am Asian, Peripera is a Korean brand, and it smells like “Asian”(not American) artificial strawberry candies. If you know what that means then you know haha.
I would’ve wished for no scent, but it goes away rather quickly and is not over-powering.
The actual gloss itself is SO beautiful. No other gloss has been able to look this juicy, wet, and glass-like. The picture doesn’t do it justice. It’s on the thicker side, but I actually love that because it lasts for a bit. It also blurs all the lines in your lips. The best way to describe it is that someone encased your lips in glass. It doesn’t irritate my lips, and surprisingly leaves them softer. Usually, lip glosses break me out or leave my lips feeling stingy, so it was like a little hallelujah chorus went off when I found out this one didn’t irritate my skin.
The packaging is really cute and simple. It’s the prettiest piece of makeup I own, and it has a pretty baby pink cap.
I’ll end this with a huge TLDR;
BUY IT. I’ve done tons of research and this is it. From a woman that hates lip gloss, this has become an everyday wear for me, and will now be the only lip gloss I buy!
If you don't mind reapplying constantly then give this a try!
it's not tacky or sticky at all, at least not enough to be noticeable. the only reason i'm giving it a four out of five is because it's advertised as long lasting but didn't last more than an hour or two for me.
